Mind Alchemy - A summary of what this site is all about. |
| The Charisma Files deal with human capabilities arising from a wide range of Left Brain disciplines and Right Brain art forms. They include information from Paleo-Psycho-Neuro-Immunology, to the use of such tools as our response to ritual, and Tarot Cards. The Charisma Files are not the embodiment of a secret and arcane lore graven in stone, but are a work in progress that will be added to, or otherwise edited, as occasion requires. It is not my purpose to pontificate on 'higher levels of spiritual awareness'. I write about altered states of consciousness that bring about a greater awareness. |
| Charisma comes from within, it is the result of an internal alchemy. Charisma is not an add-on, it is the quality of being fully alive. It is derived from a combined mental, emotional, and physical attitude that forms the core concept of one's personality. It engenders a state of mind that allows one to act in an appropriate manner towards life's events. It brings the ability to be physically relaxed while engaging in intense mental activity. To be mentally relaxed while engaging in intense physical activity. And to be emotionally balanced at all times. The Charisma Files are based on the knowledge that we have four brains that have evolved during differing periods of our evolution. Each of those brains has a mind of its own. The separate brains have, to some extent, integrated their functions. Yet, under many circumstances, each of those minds still try to exert dominance over our thoughts and actions, and it is these conflicts of interest that are at the root of many of our problems, ranging from time and energy wasting prevarication to inappropriate behaviour. The Charisma Files offer ways in which those diverse minds can be taught to converse as equals. The Charisma Files follow the path of the evolution of the human mind from its earliest formation, through protohuman, subhuman, and what is generally recognised as normally human, to the development of a charismatic personality. |
| The Charisma texts follow the dualistic nature of human thought in that they are written in two separate sections. Section One explores the issue :- "We are bio-electrical-machines." Section One imparts information. Section Two explores the issue :- "We are bio-electrical-machines, and much, much more. We have evolved. We have developed a mind of our own." Section Two requires reader input. It is in our nature to seek out those sections with which we feel the greatest affinity. Our natural reaction is to compare, to judge one thing against another. I ask that you consider an alternative view, to merge the two sets of information into one. The texts are not about right and wrong, they exist to present an idea. One that explains much of our behaviour and offers way and means by which we can manipulate ourselves to our own advantage. Our personal evolution depends upon our individual attempts to comprehend and manage the bio-chemical-mechanisms. When we manage our internalised selves, we progress. When the mechanisms manage us, we regress. Sitting here in my study, I can see two things of import in my life. One is a computer, while the other is a figure of the Buddha. They sum up the dualism of our nature. One is a gateway to the external world, its whirling electrons symbolic of the organised chaos of society. The other is a representation of inward looking stillness. This dualism exists in all peoples, but is most clearly seen in the schism between Western and Eastern ideologies. The main thrust of western endeavour has been outward, the search for external power. Its religions, from pagan magicians to christian priests, have always looked outside of themselves for the sources of power; looking to wield that power to change reality. The east has always tended to turn inwards, seeking to change their view of reality. Like the two faces of a coin, these views seem to be diametrically opposed to each other, but they are only the outward extremes of the same thing. The coin is the thing that has the intrinsic value. |
Are we prepared to leave our misconceptions on the cutting room floor? To do whatever rewriting that will be required for a more rewarding script? |
Nota: I am aware of the frequent use of male-gender pronouns in the texts. However, the subject has difficulties enough without attempts to formulate tortuous phrases to circumvent words such as 'mankind' and 'humanity'. I trust that all women reading the texts will accept this; and not infer that they are being excluded by implication. |
